Kitten in a Tree

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

I have talked about my cat Piper Maise before (remember, bad decision, terrible cat, two ruined cashmere sweaters? You remember.) But to be honest, this adorable picture of her just don't do her justice. The picture above is much more her style.

We took this the first time she got out of the house. She tore around the yard while we all chased her and eventually climbed up this tree in my parents front yard.

That handsome boy saving her in the last picture is my brother. He finally climbed the tree to get her after an hour or so when we realized she wasn't coming down on her own. We got her back inside and left to go to dinner and came home to find she had broken a plate and a glass and was sleeping on the kitchen table.

What a beautiful cat! She almost looks like a tiger. It's hard to imagine such a sweet looking kitten could do so much damage!

This is a hilarious (and terrible) story. Ruined cashmere makes my heart hurt! My parents have the exact same breed of cat and he is wiiiiiild! They call him Jagger. His fur is super soft and they say he has the "shimmer gene" which makes his coat sparkle in the sun. ...These cats are just amazing.

Oh kitty cats. They're so ornery yet so loveable. I remember when I got my cat, Gus, he would tear up the apartment like clockwork every single night at 2 a.m. He didn't care that I was trying to sleep, or that my apartment was the tiniest studio apartment ever. Nope, instead, he darted back and forth for at least an hour, meowing every now and then and crashing into things. Flash forward to nearly 6 years later, he still does bad things but he's pretty mellow for the most part. He just likes to wake us up at 5 or 6 a.m. to be fed, and he doesn't take no for an answer.

Your cat is totally cute though, love the leopard!!

just wanted to add the story is a riot. When I got a new big screen the cat thought it should be able to scratch through the huge impossibly glossy surface and unfortunately did. The manufacturer was very understanding and we were able to repair it for a small fee and we split the shipping.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog yesterday! :) I love new blog buddies!
I think you have a beautiful cat! I love her name! She sounds like she is handful! ha!
I am terrified of cats! Their hissing and arching of backs makes me so nervous! I have yet to find a cat that I can get along with.
Have a great evening!
