One of the best parts about my apartment is that it has a perfect little balcony looking over a grassy area outside of my apartment. The problem is, we almost never use it. Now that it is getting warmer I want to spice it up and use it more! Here are some things I know would motivate us to spend more time outside.
My dream balcony includes:
1. Boxwoods
2. Lots of Mossy Pots
3. A bright colored patio set
4. Mercury glass lanterns
5. A tiny succulent garden
I pretty much love anything that hangs from a balcony - lanterns, candles, flowers etc. These all look great!
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky Julie! A balcony I would love one for plants, flowers, candles. Everything looks good for a stylish balcony!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've got the right essentials to make it glorious!!
ReplyDeleteLove the mercury glass laterns.
ReplyDeleteThat patio set is adorable!! Ikea has a great line of outdoor pieces right now.
ReplyDeleteLove the boxwood for the balcony...great idea! The mercury glass is beautiful too!
ReplyDeletei'm dying to start a little herb garden box. these pictures are lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful back porch that is covered and it is by FAR my favorite room in my house! I love to sit out there with my doggie and a book!
ReplyDeletethose glass lanterns are uh-mazing - and so is that patio set - bright red would be so cute!
ReplyDeleteYes, that C&B patio set would motivate me alright! I hate our balcony in this apartment. It looks directly at a brick wall, gets hardly any sunlight and is so open to the other 18 apartments in this building that it's not much fun to be out there. It's sad. I went out this morning to drink my coffee and write my blog post, but it smelled like tar, and there was so much noise :( I'm a debbie downer, wow.
ReplyDeleteHowever, we just put an offer in on a house that has a terrific backyard and a screened in patio area!
LOVE the succulents! xoxo jillian:: cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteoh those manicured hedges are great - turn your balcony into a royal garden! love!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely... every single one of those ideas are perfection.
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from Life of Meg mingling-ness.

ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable patio set! I'd love a little balcony, although I've also enjoyed the roof "deck" a former roommate and I re-purposed!
