Since I got straight across bangs cut a few years ago I have had a interest in people's bangs that boarders on obsession. I made a huge deal about whether to cut these bangs or not and made all my friends sit on the phone with me and google people I may look like if I got them. Then once I first cut them I was religious about getting them trimmed and keeping them looking the perfect length (these suckers grow fast!). Now a days, I never get them cut and pretty much when they start to get so long I cant see, I ask my mom to take a pair of scissors and fix them. She usually does this while she talks on the phone or cooks dinner so sometimes the results are slightly less than salon perfection. But even with my lack of dedication to their upkeep, I love having bangs, I think it makes even a regular old ponytail or center part look just a little more fancy!

I am totally with you!! I LOVE bangs!! I've had them for a couple years now and can't seem to get enough of them! I'll mix it up every once and a while by cutting them straight across, grow them out a little bit to give them a side swoop and in the fall they had more of a jaggedly look. You look great in your bangs, too!! Not every woman can pull them off!

I LOVE and have been sporting the straight across bangs since about 2007 now. THey are the BEST and I honestly cannot picture myself without them. Like you, however (but even more so) I have gotten lazy with them & they are no longer straight across. They swoop to my right from constantly brushing them aside & blow drying them in that direction (out of habit) - and I don't cut them anymore (unless of course 1 or 2 hairs is really bugging me, ha!). I always debate about whether to trim them & go back to straight cut..but I love my swoop, haha! Great post :)

I love them, usually have them, going to get them trimmed Wed. I have a routine with my bangs. Get them cut short then when they start to get in my eyes I try to rock the side swipe bangs that look all romantic, then when those get to long I finally get them cut. Otherwise I'd be in the salon every 2 weeks and I don't trust anyone with my hair other than my stylist lol.

I love the blunt cut bangs, but I don't think I could get away with them with my hair, which is pretty fine. They are super cute and chic though!
Oh I looove the look of bangs! I totally wish I could pull them off but I can't! :( My forehead's too tiny so I'd have to have super short bangs or let them always be in my face...Plus, I have naturally curly hair that I straighten and my bangs are the first to frizz out! LOL...You girls with the bangs are so cute {and so lucky!} :p
I LOVE BANGS! They are so cute and flattering and also give you a younger, fresh look. They are a bitch to upkeep though... I have straight across bangs but I also have a colic (sp?) so one side grows longer... blah. I had straight across bangs growing up until high school, grew them out, sported the side bang for quite a while, and went back and forth. Now I'm full bangs again. I've never gotten used to exposing my forehead... lol. These are great photos by the way, I love them all!
I love bangs! I have them right now, and I feel very Zoey Deschannel-ish! And I agree, they really spruce up even the simplest of hair dues!
Yeah bangs! I got some cut about 3 months ago and have been LOVING them ever since. At first, I had my regrets. But the more I became familiar with them, the more I absolutely loved them. They really do make a ponytail look as best as possible. They really frame my face too. I'm going to stick with them for awhile.

I LOVE straight across, thick bangs! I had them a while back and I'm growing out my hair again so I can have them back!
I love how many of these girls have bangs! I had them for about a year, until my voice teacher very gently told me that she didn't want to be bossy about my hair, but that they had to go! As an opera singer, hair in your face is a big no-no!
I've been growing them out, but the truth is that I miss them all the time!
I love longer bangs, I'm not a fan of the straight across but the pic of the red haired girl with the up do, her bangs are wonderful! I've had the dorky bangs in 3rd grade and now I rock the side bangs which is still difficult since my hair is having a hard time adjusting to staying at a side part instead of a middle part. Oh well
OK, here we go. From MY perspective, I hate hate hate the darn things. On me. My hair is naturally wavy and thick and with bangs my hair is just in my face. Not to mention I feel like i look like a 13-year-old. But I love them on everyone I see with them. It's definitely a love/hate relationship.
I'm really thinking of doing the bangs too. LOVE EM!

This is the perfect post for me since I'm getting a haircut on Thursday at noon! I have sideswept bangs and want to make them a little more dramatic like the bottom left photo.
I love bangs. Every time I see them on people, it makes me want to run out and get them. I have long straight hair so I flip back and forth between having the side swept bangs or no bangs. I tired the straight across bangs once, much to my hair dressers' dismay, and loved them for about a week. I'm not a big hair person so I just found them too fussy for me:) I still look at them on people and think "maybe I'll get them again..." - love them!

I have an oval face and I have been unsure if I should get bangs or not. I've been searching everywhere for younger girls with oval faces with bangs with little result. So this is awesome.
