Braided

Monday, April 11, 2011

I love braids. I love them for weddings, days at the beach, bars with friends, or Sunday morning breakfasts. Braids are definitely my go-to hair style when I wake up late and don't have time for a curler or flat iron but don't want to look like a complete mess the entire day.

On an unrelated note, my weekend was fabulous. The weather in San Fransisco was beautiful and I and came home from the game with a sunburn!

How was your weekend?

Love, Julie

So agree braids are lovely, although I can never make it look perfect in my hair! :)

I threw a baby shower (pics to come).

I'm the same way about braids. Totally my go to hair style when I'm short on time, but want to look nice. =)

These are beautiful. I've never had hair long enough to braid, but now I wish I had. :)

My weekend was great! Orlando had a big Turkish Festival and we went to that. Can't wait to get it up on the blog soon!

ooo I just learned how to braid a "fishtail" braid! Next up to learn are the two braids in the upper left corner of your board - those are so gorgeous!

Me too! I added a few mini versions into my updo for my wedding and it made it soooo much more relaxed, cute, unqiue, etc. I'm glad they're coming back.

This weekend we stayed in - lots of spring showers. But it's 80 and beautiful today!!

Definitely a braid fan! My friends can never work out how I can braid my own hair - hours of practice as a teenager!

I LOVE the Alica braid - I'll be attempting that very soon. My hair is ridiculously thick and that just might work! Great roundup!

I love a good braid, and this gorgeous SF weather! Can you believe it? I'm just waiting for a week of rain to make up for our good fortune!

Sounds like San Fran was lovely! We're not quite at sunburn status but the sun was definitely shining in Montreal :) Love the braids!

These are beautiful, and I love braids too. Too bad I just chopped off 4 inches on saturday. You should do a tutorial on how you fix up your braids. Not sure I really know how to do any of those braids myself.

Happy Monday Julie!!!

i really need to visit SF! we always go to san diego but spend all our time with family, so there's usually no excuse to go sight seeing :/ someday i will! and seriously.. these photos are making me wish i had long hair just so i can do a pretty braid! i do little side ones and tuck behind my ear, but they suck because i have no patience or arm muscles to do a nice french braid. i actually just did my first french braid last week, turned out pretty good. but my arms hurt... i need to work out more. wow, that wasn't rambling at all! lol i think i need to stop reading blogs and eat something...

If i didn't have a huge bald spot on my left temple I'd rock the 2nd photo all day long.

I love braids, I can only do braided pigtails though. Everything else looks stupid when I try it on myself, I need professional help haha

What a nice collection of braided inspiration! I love wearing braids in the summer. I'm going to try and recreate that breaded bun on the lower right hand side!
