Kitten in a Tree

I have talked about my cat Piper Maise before (remember, bad decision, terrible cat, two ruined cashmere sweaters? You remember.) But to be honest, this adorable picture of her just don't do her justice. The picture above is much more her style.

We took this the first time she got out of the house. She tore around the yard while we all chased her and eventually climbed up this tree in my parents front yard.

That handsome boy saving her in the last picture is my brother. He finally climbed the tree to get her after an hour or so when we realized she wasn't coming down on her own. We got her back inside and left to go to dinner and came home to find she had broken a plate and a glass and was sleeping on the kitchen table.

I have a terrible habit of adopting animals then leaving them with my parents to care for. The expensive adorable Bengal kitten you see above is a pet I begged Mitchell to get me for Christmas last year, realized was the worst creature ever born, dropped off at my parent's house for a visit, and a year later have never taken back. Sorry Mom and Dad!

Reasons she is such terror include broken plates, pitchers,  glasses, one cashmere sweater torn to sheds, and countless meals ruined by her habit of jumping on the counter and helping herself to anything left unattended for more than 6 seconds. And this is just the stuff my mom is mad enough to call and tell me about...

On the plus side, she can fetch.

update: make that two cashmere sweaters ruined :(
